I was tasked with creating a swatch using type to show how I could use typography to make a layout. To start, I used my sketchbook to think of some ideas I could use and landed on an idea I had of using my favorite country music artist, Morgan Wallen. He had recently released an album, so I decided to base the swatch off the song titles. After creating a few layouts, I ended up liking the one which showcased all his new songs. One thing I struggled with was making sure all the songs were able to fit on the layout I chose. By playing around with the size and spacing of the characters, I was able to fit all the songs on it evenly from start to finish. As a result, I was able to create a swatch featuring all his songs, highlighting his most popular ones, his name, and the album title.
