For this project, I was tasked with creating a six page mini-zine that showcased something that meant a lot to me. I chose to base mine off country music. We were required to have an informational article, an interview, a creative piece, an advertisement, and a front and back cover. After choosing my topic, I got to work creating layouts and sketching some ideas I had for each of the pages. I chose to start by taking pictures of myself to showcase on the front cover that related to my topic. Once I had those, I was ready to start digitally designing my layout. After most of my pages were done, I still did not have my interview. I knew I wanted to interview someone famous who meant something to the country music community. After reaching out to a bunch of artists and getting no response, I decided to reach out to a songwriter named Griffen Palmer, who helped Florida Georgia Line create one of their famous songs called Second Guessing. He responded and took the time to answer all the questions I had, leading to an amazing interview. I am proud of the results of this project. Everything came out exactly how I wanted it to, and I was able to highlight something that really means a lot to me.
